Day 1: Pick Up From Your Hotel or Kigali Airport, Do a City Tour And Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Upon setting a foot at Kigali international airport, our professional driver guide will be waiting to pick you up from the airport as he welcomes you.

He will give you a short safari briefing about your 4 Days gorilla safari in Rwanda, take you for a short city tour in Kigali and then proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park at your booked hotel.

The Kigali city tour will depend on your time of arrival in Kigali. Nyungwe Forest National Park is about 190km from the Kigali driving for about 4 hours; a journey that will offer you the best sights of the lush hill-slopes as you cruise to Nyungwe. Arrive at your place of accommodation in the evening, rest and have dinner.

Day 2: Do Chimpanzee Trekking And Canopy Walk in Nyungwe Forest National Park

Wake up to an early morning breakfast at your lodge, transfer with your driver guide to the park headquarters for your chimpanzee trekking activity.

This chimpanzee trekking Rwanda safari starts at 8am with a briefing for the rangers. The rangers will then lead you to the forest to see the chimpanzees all the way through the jungle forest, hiking in the steep slopes amidst several sightings for about 2-5 hours.

Once you spot them, you will be stunned by the way the chimps play around in the trees with their human like characters. Retire for your lunch.

In the afternoon at 2pm, you will start your canopy walk in the forest that you explored early in the morning as you trekked the chimpanzees, walking on a bridge that is about 50m above the ground and 200meters long.

This is a breathtaking experience that cannot be compared to any other activity in this park. The 2 hours walk starts and ends at the Uwinka tourist reception center at the park headquarters.

During this walk, you will sight variety of bird species that will be passing by, birds in the trees, and several tree species. Retreat from the activity and return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 3: Leave Nyungwe Forest National Park and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

In the morning after your last breakfast in Nyungwe Forest National Park, your driver guide will drive you to Volcanoes national park.

After arriving at your accommodation area in Volcanoes National Park, you will relax, have lunch, dinner and prepare for your overnight at in the only gorilla land of Rwanda.

Day 4: Do Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park And Return to Kigali

This memorable day begins very early in the morning since your gorilla trekking briefing starts at 8:00am at the park headquarters therefore your driver guide has to get you at the park headquarters before time there before this time.

During the briefing, you will be told the do’s and don’ts of the gorilla trekking activity and after you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek led by a ranger guide. Rwanda gorilla trekking safaris last about 2-8 hours.

Once you sight these gorillas, you are restricted to only one hour to watch their life style in the wild. After the activity, your driver guide will drive you back to Kigali international airport for departure.
