5 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari Tour – Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Volcanoes National Park

On your arrival at the airport, the company guide will pick you up and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park in Rushengeri.

Accommodation: Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Day 2: First Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda – Volcanoes National Park

In the morning after your breakfast at 7:30 am, you will gather at the Park headquarters for a briefing in the morning.

You will leave together with your packed lunch and trekking gear plus some drinking water. After your Gorilla Trek in Rwanda, slope back to your hotel/lodge for relaxation. Later in the evening, go for a Nature walk.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking-Dian Fossey Hike-Drive to Bwindi

This morning, you will gather at the park headquarters for briefing before embarking on golden monkey tracking and later hike up to Karisoke Research Centre established by Dian Fossey an American primatologist who dedicated all her life to conserving this primate. Later cross to Uganda and drive to Bwindi National Park.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park

This morning enjoy your sweet coffee before leaving for briefing at the park headquarters. You will be told the dos and don’ts while tracking gorillas.

Tracking gorillas in this National Park is more challenging but exciting. After tracking, relax at the lodge and later leave for a community walk and encounter the Batwa community and enjoy their story tale and unique culture.

Day 5: Drive to Kigali

Drive back to Kigali in the morning after a relaxed breakfast. Stopover on the way for photo shoots and shopping.
