10 Days Congo Gorilla Safari Tour, Chimpanzee Trekking Safari Nyungwe Rwanda & Uganda Wildlife Tour – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: You Will Be Picked at Your Hotel in Kigali And Transfer You to Nyungwe Forest National Park
In the morning after you breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked by your driver guide, take you through a short briefing about your 10 days Uganda Rwanda Congo primate, adventure & wildlife safari.
After the briefing, you will drive southwards to Nyungwe National park with en route visit to the national museum in Butare, the Murambi genocide memorial site, the Nyanza king’s palace. Arrive at your lodge, check in dine and relax.

Day 2: Do Your Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Nyungwe Forest National Park, Have Lunch And Have an Afternoon Canopy Walk
After an early morning breakfast at your lodging facility, you will meet with your driver guide and transfer to the park headquarters where you will attend a briefing from the park warden about the do’s and don’ts of the Rwanda chimpanzee trekking safaris.
After the briefing, you will be led to the chimpanzee hiking trail where your chimp trekking will begin. As part of your adventure, expect to meet chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, and baboons along the trail.
After tracking, you will return to the lodge for lunch and later go for your Forest Canopy walk that last about 2 hours.

Day 3: On This Day, You Will Transfer to Bukavu – Democratic Republic of Congo
In the morning, after a relaxed breakfast, you will drive Kahuzi Biega National Park in Bukavu via Cyangugu boarder.

Day 4: Do Your Gorilla Lowland Gorilla Trekking Tour in Kahuzi Biega National Park
In the morning, you will head for the memorable adventure of tracking the lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National park.
Tacking lowland Gorillas is very amazing, lowland Gorillas differ from the mountain gorillas, the lowland gorillas are bigger in size, usually takes 1-4 hours tracking the lowland Gorillas.
The lowland Gorillas stay in bigger families as compared to mountain gorillas; you will not regret the safari effort once you meet the amazing Gorillas!
After tracking, you will go for a nature walk in the Kahuzi Biega park and visit Tshibati waterfalls, visit bukavu town, and the surrounding traditional homes. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer From Kahuzi Biega National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda
In the morning, you will have a relaxed breakfast at your lodge as you will prepare to exit this part of the world via Goma as you drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is the second largest National Park in Uganda. It is famous for its tree climbing lions, several bird species, crater lakes and the Kazinga channel that’s home to the biggest number of hippos in Africa.
Your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park will roughly take 8 hours covering a distance of about 264km.
Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park at your lodging facility. Depending on how you will be feeling, you will do an evening gamed drive and later return to the lodge.
Day 6: Do an Early Morning Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park via The Kasenyi Trail And an Afternoon Boat Cruise Along The Kazinga Channel
Early in the morning after a cup of coffee, your guide will be ready to take you for a game drive along the Kasenyi trail to see for yourself the animals that habit this beautiful park.
This early morning game drive gives you opportunity to catch the early morning risers in the park as they prepare to go and look for their daily prey.
The game drive will last about 3-4 hours depending on your choice. Return to your lodge for proper breakfast relax and have lunch at the lodge.
Later in the afternoon after lunch, your guide will take you to the Kazinga channel for your afternoon boat cruise.
The boat cruise lasts about 2 hours and while there you will see lots of hippos, crocodiles, lots of birds as well as several wildlife along the river banks as they queen their thirst.
Return from the activity and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Do a Morning Game Drive in The Park And Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Have breakfast at the lodge, get your bags packed and set off for Lake Mburo National Park with a morning game drive in the park.
During your game drive, you will see lots of Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, several bird species as well as other animals.
On your way to Mburo, you will take about 5 hours covering a distance of about 222km via the Mbarara-Kasese road. Arrive in the park, check in and proceed to your lodging facility, relax, dine and sleep.
Day 8: Do a Morning Game Drive in The Park And an Afternoon Boat Cruise Along Lake Mburo
Early in the morning after a cup of coffee, you will set off with your Uganda safari guide for an early morning game drive in the park enabling you to catch the early morning risers in the park as they set out to look for their prey.
Your game drive will last about 2-3 hours depending on your choice. While there you will sight animals like Burchell zebras, giraffes, eland antelopes, impalas among others.
Day 9: Do a Horseback Riding Safari in The Morning And Cycling in The Afternoon
In the morning at around 8am after your breakfast at your hotel/lodge, you will undertake a horseback riding safari in the park giving you chance to get close to the animals.
You will ride among the zebras, elands, impalas and many more. After your adventure, you will return to your lodge for lunch and after you will go cycling around the park. return at your lodging facility relax, dine and sleep.
Day 10: Return Back to Kampala With En-route at The Equator
After your relaxed breakfast at the lodge, you and your driver guide will prepare to set off for Kampala for your flight or to your hotel depending on what we agree on.
This journey will last about 5-6 hours using the Kampala-Masaka road. You will break your journey with a stopover at the equator where you will have a polar water experiment, visit the souvenir shops, and take lots of photographs in different hemispheres.
